What Separates You?

Many people want to achieve special things in life. Many people want to be a successful business person, many people want to better the world, and many people want to know their purpose in life. But the true question is, what makes you different? What separates you from everybody else? You see, you aren’t the only one who wants to better the world, you aren’t the only one who wants to better yourself and your family, and you aren’t the only one who wants to know their purpose. So what makes you different? Is it because you are more hard working, better listener, better speaker, more consistent, or more patient? You see, when you are on the battlefield for survival and you want a way out, you have to think outside the box. You have to do something that no one else is doing, you have to think different, work different, and move different. Your moves can’t be the same as someone else and you can’t do the same old thing over again. I believe we are all different in our own ways but it’s up to us to figure out how. How are we different from others, how do our gifts contribute to our purpose? I like to believe that we all have special things that we do everyday that come natural to us, things that are a gift from GOD that we can use to help us find our purpose, things that can help us accomplish our goals, and things that can help us stand out from the crowd around us. It’s just up to us to figure out what is that special thing that separates us from everyone else and how can we use it in our lives.

Get Over It

Some of you might not like what I have to say, but I believe it’s something that’s needs to be said. The true reason why most of you are stuck where you are or why you haven’t made any progress towards your goals, is because you’re too busy looking back at the past rather then looking at the present. You see so many of you have scars that will never be healed, have mountains that you will never climb, and have voices that will never be heard all because you are too busy focusing on the past. All because you can’t forgive the person who hurt you, all because you can’t go after something that you failed at before, all because you sit there and say how you want a better life but you’re not doing shit to get it. Like it’s time to wake up, it’s time to become stronger then you were before, and it’s time you start realizing that you were placed on this earth for a fucking reason and that’s to make a change, to cause a movement, and to become something so great, so beautiful that everything that happened in the past was worth it in the end. But it starts with you it always has and it always will and what you do with it is up to you.

“Learn from the past, look to the future, but live in the present.”-Petra Nemcova

Don’t Give A Damn

Starting off I want to tell you to not GIVE A DAMN about what someone says about you. You see people are going to disagree with things that they don’t really understand, they are going to judge people who they don’t really know much about, and they are going to talk about you no matter what you do. Now yes, you could scream, you could fight, and you could tell them how they aren’t going to be shit back. But guess what it only slows down your progress and shows them that you care about what they have to say, causing for them to constantly keep doing it. You see I feel like you have to not give a damn about what people say about you, because people are going to find something to say about you whether you are doing good or bad, but as long as you don’t give a damn about what they have to say then you won’t become affected by them. So #1 DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT YOU, #2 Keep going, trust me your dreams are on the way, and #3 as soon as you start not GIVING A DAMN about what people say about you , then you’ll start achieving things you have always wanted to achieve.

“Don’t care what people say. Don’t give a damn about their laws.”-Edith Piaf

We Are All Different

We are all different people, who move in different ways, who act a certain way, who live a certain way, and who dream certain things. You see my time in the navy has brought me around so many people from so many different backgrounds. You see the navy has taught me many things about people and the reason most of them act the way they do. I have learned why people are rude to others, I have learned why people have so much respect for people even when that person doesn’t respect them, and I have learned why we do the things we do. It mainly has something to do with how we grew up. You see even though we are young the things that we go through, learn from, and grow from when we are young stays with us as we get older. Turning us into the person we are today. You see we allow our past to shape us, break us, and make us into the person we become. But I feel like we can also learn from the present, we can also learn from the things we are currently doing so that we can perfect the things we will do in the future. You see it’s all about perfecting you, it’s all about the new you that’s to come in the future. So I say this, try to connect with different people, because you never know if you might have something in common with them.

“I am made and remade continually. Different draw different words from me.”-Virginia Woolf

Alone

I have learned that sometimes in life you have to have some alone time. Could be when you are having a bad day and every little thing gets to you, could be when you have spent so much time around family and friends and you want to just break away for a bit, and finally could simply just be because you want to have some me time. I know for me I enjoy being alone at times since most of my great ideas actually comes from me being alone. That’s one reason why my website came into play just by me being alone with my thoughts. I also enjoy the feeling of not having to worry about anyone else in that moment cause it’s just you. So I say yes spend time with family and friends, but also spend time with yourself, enjoy your own company, because being alone to me is where the best ideas come from.

So What Do You Do It For?

I believe that no matter what you do in life, always remember what you are doing it for. Whether it’s you working a 9-5 job, out on the streets hustling, or even taking those college classes that are stressing you out always remember what you are doing it for. You see, I feel like at times we get so caught in our work that we don’t stop and think why we are doing it in the first place. Why are you asking for extra hours at work, why are you staying up all night studying for one class, and why are you out on the streets hustling when you could be in the house sleep. The truth is we all want success, we all want to be able to say that we made it, we all want to be able to have a better life, and we are willing to do anything and everything to get there. You see there is a reason why I joined the navy and there is a reason why I want to make the world a better place. It’s because one I always wanted to serve but not make a career out of the navy and two because I believe the world can change one step at a time. I believe if we all remember why we are doing the things we do in the first place, then we will realize that it’s not the beginning we are focusing on it’s the end goal. The end goal is the main reason we do it, it’s the reason we wake up early and sleep late, it’s the reason we stay gone from the house all day, and it’s the reason we do things we never thought we would do. So I ask you again, What Do You Do It For? Is it your family, friends, or is it yourself because it has to mean something to you if you are willing to keep doing it. You see all things done have a reason to why they are done, it’s just up to us to figure out that reason.

“What you do everyday matters more than what you do once in a while.”-Gretchen Rubin

Broken Pieces

We have a lot of people in this world, who I would consider to be broken pieces. These are the ones who have been hurt by something or someone and it has changed them every since. It has changed the way they think, the way they act, and most importantly the way they treat themselves. These are people who usually come from families or relationships where they were treated like shit and not cared for and it tends to stay with them throughout their life. It stays with them because they feel like someone who they loved deeply or something they loved just turned around and stabbed them in the back. I have learned that this causes people to do things they never thought they would do such as: smoking, drinking more, or having sex with anybody just to feel something besides the pain they are feeling. But in the end it does nothing for them but cause more pain. They try to use it as a distraction when in reality it’s just causing more suffering for them on the inside. But I’m not here to judge those people because they have a story like everyone else’s that no one knows about. But I’m here to let you know that these people are out there, heck you could be one of them, you could be a brother or sister of one of them, you even could be dating someone like that. But our job is to help heal, not break down, fix, not destroy, love, not hate and rebuild these broken pieces that are all around us.

Symbol

What do you want to be a symbol of?I want to be a symbol of hope, a symbol of motivation, and a symbol of dreams coming true. I want for people to see my writing, my logo, and think positive. I want them to see that I’m someone who cares about other people’s dreams. I want to be able to connect with people who I don’t even know and I want people to start figuring out their own symbol. As you can see we all are a symbol of something, whether it’s something bad or something good we all represent something. It could be your parents, your job, or even yourself, but either way you represent something. The thing is though, what do you want to be a symbol of? And how does your symbol affect the world? Because whether you know it or not we affect the world with the things we represent everyday. If you represent change than a movement will occur, if you represent friendship than a bond will be made, and if you represent a dream than a vision will be found. But if you represent hatred than love will be lost, if you represent lost than nothing will be found, and if you represent war than no peace will come. So I ask you again, what do you want to be a symbol of?
